13 colonies

1)First, each colony can appointed a governor to share power with the local council.
2)Then, the British government tightened the rule and the thirteen colonies were discontent.
3)Next, the British government didn't let the thirteen colonies to trade freely.
4)After that, the British government passed some act so the thirteen colonies had to pay for the cost of keeping army to protect the land taken from France.
5)Finally, the two sides over the right to tax had a quarrel and this quarrel led to the American War of Independence.
